The Swiss Investment Research Challenge is part of the Global Investment Research Challenge, organized by the CFA Institute since 2007. Student teams of 3-5 business and finance master-level students take the role of financial analysts over the course of one semester. The teams research a predetermined publicly traded company and prepare a research report as well as a presentation with the key finding. In this year's competition, 14 student teams with over 60 students from 6 universities participated. The company to be analyzed this year is the Myriad Group, a leading mobile sortware company based in Dübendorf, ZH. The students were supported by mentors which are senior members of our membership base.

At the award ceremony, after Mr. Kalbreier's speech on "The Future of Financial Analysis, the winners of this year’s competition will be announced. The winners will receive a total cash price of CHF 3'000. In addition, the winners will receive the chance to compete against the winning universities from the EMEA region in Istanbul in April and may eventually advance to the international final to be held in Hong Kong.
