Revision of GIPS Standards
The GIPS Standards have now been revised in the context of the GIPS 2010 project and are currently undergoing the public comment phase until the end of June 2009. The GIPS Expert Group of the SBA is preparing a comment letter on behalf of the stakeholders in Switzerland and is seeking to obtain as much feedback from the Swiss investment managers as possible so that the interests of the Swiss firms are properly taken into consideration. You can take active part in the GIPS 2010 public comment phase by providing the comments directly to CFA Institute or contact Dimitri Senik, CFA of the GIPS Expert Group of the SBA. The Advocacy Committee of the SCFAS is also looking into sending comments and welcomes any input. Please contact Christian Dreyer, CFA or Ulrike Kaiser-Boeing, CFA if you would like to volunteer for this project or for the Advocacy Committee in general.
Membership Benefits
We hope that you are aware that in response to member feedback, CFA Institute has added two new exclusive member benefits – getAbstract and Ebsco’s Business Source Corporate. These two new resources are being offered to members on a trial basis. CFA Institute is committed to providing members with relevant product offerings that provide a professional edge. Continued provision of these two resources will be dependent upon member usage during the trial period. For further information, go to Express Education Opportunities.
